Summary/Abstract: In numerous countries around the world, increasingly more attention is being devoted to the significance of spending time in the fresh air in a natural setting. This is considered to be a crucial aspect of childhood. The article presents a multifaceted perspective on the learning process and on where it takes place. It also encourages the reader to apply his or her own understanding and interpretation of issues related to outdoor learning. The use of a variety of approaches to this notion can facilitate a better insight into the course of the learning process in both classroom and outdoors settings, as well as the issue's importance in children’s development.
