Summary/Abstract: This study aims to put into a theoretical and methodological connection the philosophical conclusions of thinker Nicolai Hartmann with the new approaches of the philosophy of knowledge and science. In the discourse universe of contemporary critical thinking, scientific and philosophical spirits, along with the religious one, are constantly interwoven, even though among these specific domains there are precise demarcations signalled with Kantian rigor. It is obvious that, at present, philosophy is made taking into account first of all the human being, the bio-psycho-socio-cultural and historical entity of the being in the immediate vicinity of the Supreme Being. The human being is at the centre of contemporary reflections, and Hartmann has enrolled himself in this exigency of contemporary philosophy.
