Summary/Abstract: The paper reflects the results of a large-scale research within the framework of research work aimed at studying the social demands of Moscow families for the education system inthe process of its upgrade. The objective of the study was to analyze parents' awareness of familyeducation, its basic forms and methods, the relevance of this educational form. As a result of theresearch, data were obtained, which formed the basis for conclusions and recommendations on thedevelopment of family forms of education. Positive and negative aspects of family education and themain reasons for its development and dissemination were singled out.
