Summary/Abstract: This article aims to highlight the less well-known details of the Romanian-Hungarian negotiations in Arad on November 13th-14th, 1918, using some of the memoirs from that time as primary sources. According to this memorialists, there were disagreements among the Romanian delegates during the negotiations, particularly between a moderate trend, represented by Vasile Goldiş and Ioan Suciu, and a more radical trend, represented by Ştefan Cicio-Pop and Iuliu Maniu. The failure of these negotiations meant the collapse of the last attempt for a peaceful understanding between the Romanians and the Hungarians. After this, the Romanians from Hungary were encouraged to organize the Great National Assembly in Alba Iulia that has fulfilled the dream of a Great Romania.
