Summary/Abstract: In the present study, the image of the ideal manager is explored – the supervisor, who manages the organization, but at the same time motivates his/ her subordinates and is concerned about their work satisfaction. Therefore, for the purposes of the empirical study, specificities of manager's role and activity as well as classic and contemporary approaches towards leadership are presented. The aim of the conducted research is to analyze characteristics, which stereotype of the ideal manager is compounded of, through an evaluative scale, especially created for this purpose. Factors, forming this stereotype and their hierarchy are determined. The degree of physical attractiveness that is considered to be important for the ideal manager is part of the study, too. An analysis of the results of the investigation is presented.
