Summary/Abstract: The ceramic bowls are emerged as a pottery art with having a characterictic of storage and usage. Over time, in addition to passing of people to the production society and functionality of bowls, they gained qualification as a ritual and artistic bowls. Until the 19th Century Industrial Age, the artist has reached a free personality and in this century she has incorporated the bowls into contemporary art with adopting different artistic understandings.As in every art work, the bowls have a structure integrated with the form and contents. Having reinterpreted the Anatolian and Scandinavian Modernism in her bowls, Alev Ebuzziyya are searched in the scope of her education, art history, tradition and rich decorating features of the bowls. In this study touches on general features of her bowls, two samples of her bowls are investigated in terms of decoration motifs. The reason for this is that the artist used zigzag and china cloud motifs which are frequently preferred in decorating ceramics and other materials in Anatolian and world cultures. The research was concluded by evaluating the information of both motives, plastic analysis of bowls and graphic design elements and principles.
