Summary/Abstract: The article presents the development of the Pentecostal Church in Bulgaria in the period 1944-1949. That was the time which was characterized by diverse opportunities for the denomination. At the beginning of the period, the Union of Evangelical Pentecostal Churches held church councils, published periodicals and literature and led religious activity among believers. In 1948/1949 trials against the evangelical pastors led to the conviction of six pastors from the Pentecostal Church. Despite the difficulties the confession is among the fastest growing Protestant churches in Bulgaria during the period.
