The Pedagogical Edication in Shumen (1879-1944)

Summary/Abstract: The subject of this historical narrative is the different stages of preparation of teach-ers in Shumen in the period from 1879 till 1944. The pedagogical edication started with the establishment of a Temporary Teacher-training school in 1879, continued with Dr Peter Beron Teacher-Training Institute, changed in the pedagogical edication from 1919 to 1935, and fin-ished with the opening of the Teacher Institute for high-school teachers with a board and a farm. There is a description of the school programmes at different periods, the work of teachers and students. There is also representation to persons who helped for an approval of Shumen as a pedagogical edication centre in the period from 1879 till 1944.
