Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the ways the erotic is shaped in the novel Migrations by Miloš Crnjanski. The focus is on the incestuous relationship of the brother-in-law and sister-in-law, the ways it is formed and which mythical and folklore elements it leans on. In this respect, the paper analyzes certain typical baroque motives as well as the motive of seduction which dominates the narration on the brother-in-law and sister-in-law. At the same time the paper analyzes the “salon game” of Vuk Isakovič and the princess, which follows the same model as the incestuous relationship of Aranđel and Dafina which is based in temptation and overstepping a socially coded restriction. For that reason the paper intends to interpret the erotic at a more general level through its transgressive characteristics, which simultaneously opens up a space for the analysis of the existential states of the heroes of Migrations signified by void and nothing.
