Summary/Abstract: Regardless of the areas of activity or types of organizations, the most important factor needed to sustain their existence is power. Power is a tool used by senior management in the formation of behaviors of individuals within the organization and in the serving of these behaviors for organizational purposes. This study is a qualitative study aimed at discussing and examining the power, authority, organizational power, organizational sources of power and organizational power types. The objective is to arrive at a comprehensive judgment on the power and power types after the relevant literature is searched. In the first part of the study, the concepts of power and authority are handled holistically with their historical processes. In the second part, a conceptual analysis is made about the sources and types of power. As a result, an explanatory definition and classification of power and power types have been tried and traditional power has been proposed as a new type of power, starting from Weber's definition of traditional authority.
