Summary/Abstract: Turkish art which entered the process of westernization in the last period of the Ottoman State continued its westernization process in the first period of the Republic. Turkish art has manifested itself with westernization movements since the second half of 18th century. While transformation took place with various group movements between 1914 and 1950, later the individualization has remained in the forefront and the search for style has developed until today. Since the establishment of the Republic; distinct styles, expressions and working methods in both Western art and in western series of the Turkish painting have followed each other and the language of our art painting has diversified. In this diversity, artists from every region have been brought up and served Turkish painting arts in our country. Furthermore, Konya which was the capital of Seljuk Empire and played a significant role in the Ottoman and Republic Period also has raised qualified artists for our country. In this paper, we examine some of the artworks and Konya artists, who were born in Konya produced artifacts at different regions of our country and played a part in contemporary Turkish painting. The study was carried out in the form of literature review and descriptive methods were used in the analysis of the data obtained from the study.
