Summary/Abstract: The province of Trabzon is one of the important cities of our country in general and specifically in Eastern Black Sea region in terms of historical and cultural processes. Trabzon has an important place at the point of representing the ethnographical and oral cultural aspects of the Eastern Black Sea region. One of the most important reasons for achieving this position is that it has been the cultural center of the region for centuries. The province has always been a cultural center because it has both a well-established history and isa busy seaport and because it is the most economically developed province of the region. A common and holistic approach towards the research-based forms and techniques of the scope of child folklore and the types included within this scope has not been put forth as one ofthe topics covered by Turkish folklore research which has become popular since the early 1990s.
