Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to investigate how information on the two kinds of risk (natural and involving human activity) varying in their level infl uences the assessment of holiday attractiveness. The impact of a political and natural risk on the assessment of attractiveness of tourist offers was evaluated. The achievement of the paper’s objective was done based on an experimental study carried out on 353 individuals studying at two different higher education institutions. The data obtained were subject to statistical analysis using classic and location descriptive measures, linear regression and statistical tests such as one-way ANOVA. We did not fi nd evidence that people react differently to different risks, but the results indicate that the sensitivity of measures of reaction (changes in prices and attractiveness) is not the same.
