Managing human capital in the context of risk management in public administration

Summary/Abstract: Effective management of human capital in the context of risk management in public administration is very important. Close relations between the management and officials should be in line with the objectives and strategy of the public organization. Often, however, there are various types of risks associated with personnel management, including recruitment and selection, evaluation, motivation and de-recruitment risks. The role of the organization’s authorities is to minimize this unfavourable phenomenon. The aim of the article is to discuss human capital management in the context of risk management in public administration, taking into account the nature of risk in the organization management, human resources management in the risk area and presenting the results of pilot studies related to this.
