Summary/Abstract: Customer relationship management is the way of the influence on the customer in a modern organization. Note, that keeping in touch with the individual customer benefits for the customer and the organization. In the library, the customer is the greatest value. This article attempts to answer the question why customer relationship management is important in the university library. There are highlighted basic issues, related to a new approach to the customer.
