Summary/Abstract: In accordance with European Union law and the provisions of the European Convention on Human Laws, asylum seekers must have effective access to asylum procedures, including remedies capable of suspending removal during the appeal proceedings. Asylum Procedures Directive (Directive 2013/32 / EU) EU lays down minimum standards for procedures for granting and withdrawing international protection. The Directive applies requests to asylum from Member States of the EU that have obligations under the Directive, including frontiers, territorial waters and transit zones (Article 3). The Directive applies to asylum requests from Member States of the EU which has obligations under the Directive, including borders, territorial waters and transit zones (Article 3).
