The system of cardinal numerals with the words which belong to them in the “Uspensky Sbornik"

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this work is to examine the system of the terms of cardinal numerals with the words which belong to them in “Uspensky Sbornik”, a manuscript that was copied in the Old Russian language area in the 12th–13th centuries. I mainly look for phenomena that can give information about the conditions of the genesis of a new independent part of speech, in our case, that of the numerals. I also pay attention to the phenomena which can be connected to the unification of several types of the terms of cardinal numerals with their associated words.
