Development and Perspectives

Summary/Abstract: Serbian–Hungarian lexicography has been developing from the late 19th century. The scope of its activities includes over one hundred dictionaries, among which professional ones are especially interesting. Their number is smaller because general dictionaries take over their task to register the professional vocabulary. In this paper, the author presents the most important Serbian–Hungarian and Hungarian–Serbian professional dictionaries, their concept, and the prospects of drawing up new technical dictionaries.
