Summary/Abstract: This article examines the quality level of religious culture courses in the high schools of Turkey from the visionary leadership perspective. The article suggests two main points, one of which advocates the fact that after the death of the Prophet Mohammad an inauspicious group of people called the Umayyads have prevailed and these people have sought the ways to distort the discourse of the Qur’an mainly by fabricating “Hadith” and also became detrimental to the messages of the Qur’an in different ways. So some information that has been seen in Turkish high schools’ religious culture course books are wrong and the correct information provided in these books is lamentably scarce. This study also argues that this is a fatal result of the distortion that has been committed by the Umayyads who are notorious for impairing the religion of the Qoran.
