Summary/Abstract: The general objective of this study is to examine the effect of the “Web Based Computer Aided Teaching” activity which is prepared according to the structural approach on the academic success of the students who study art at graduate level. With this study, interactive education material has been prepared for the web based computer aided teaching and teaching activity has been carried out with two separate student groups. One group has been subjected to the traditional teaching method, and the other has been subjected to the web based computer aided teaching. The success and the learning persistency of the students after the application have been examined. “Multiple subject – one factor experimental pattern” among the experimental models has been used as the pattern in the study. In this respect, the study has been carried out on the pattern with the pretest-posttest control group. A significant increase has been seen in the academic successes of the students who participated in the Web Based Computer Aided teaching applications when compared to the academic successes of the students who participated in the Traditional Teaching method. It has been revealed that the actions in the test group are more effective than those in the control group. Relying on the obtained results, it can be suggested that new studies can be carried out including the web based computer aided teaching applications for different lessons in the field of art education.
