Summary/Abstract: Subject of this paper are formal requirements for transfer of real rights, specially over immovables, through historical-copmarative legal analysis of rules of ancient Roman Law and modern legal rules. Author develops a thesis that social and economic reasons for formalisation of that type of legal transactions were much alike, if not the same, in the old Rome as are nowdays. Research is dealing with types of things for which a transfer of rights had been and is formalised, with emphasis on immovables, and also with concrete formal requirements and procedures for transfer of rihgts.
