Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to analyse the relationship between tourism and economic growth in the Mediterranean countries. In this context, panel data method was used considering the period of 2000-2015 in this study. As a dependent variable, the variable of per capita income growth that represents economic growth was used. As an independent variable, the variables like international tourism revenues, gross capital formation, government final consumption expenditure, labour force participation rate and school enrollment secondary education were used. As a result of the analysis, it was found that there was a negative and statistically significant relationship between government final consumption expenditure and economic growth. While there was a positive and statistically significant relationship between economic growth and other discussed variables. The result of the analysis have shown tourism increases economic growth.
