Summary/Abstract: Instytucja wymiaru kary za zbieg przestępstw i zbieg wyroków tworzy mechanizm redukcyjny pozwalający na orzeczenie jednej kary w miejsce kilku kar podlegających łączeniu oraz na wykonaniu jednej kary. Znamienną cechą rosyjskiego systemu prawa karnego jest to, że tylko w przypadku kary pozbawienia wolności ustawodawca zdecydował się wprowadzić podwyższoną górną granicę kary końcowej w ramach orzekania o odpowiedzialności karnej za popełnienie wielu przestępstw. The institution of punishment for the concurrence of offenses and the coincidence of judgments creates a reduction mechanism allowing for one penalty to be imposed in place of several penalties to be combined and to execute one penalty. A characteristic feature of the Russian criminal law system is that only in the case of imprisonment the legislator decided to introduce an increased upper boundary of the final penalty in the framework of adjudicating criminal responsibility for the commission of many crimes.
