Summary/Abstract: Social challenges (including intercultural ones) that a contemporaryman needs to face up with, oblige pedagogues to search effective and adequate to present-times problems, educational solutions that correspond with the idea of sustainable development. One of the possible suggestions are animation activities which manifest themselves through team-work engaging cooperation, responsibility, and trust (homo cooperativus), representing educational character (arising from accepted system of values), and offering play and amusement which strive for human development of participants, thanks to their shared animation experiences. Animation activities that are judged as meaningful and understood as axiological, have the potential not only to awake marginalised, restrained, and individually and socially passive people but to engage them to such extent to make them experience synergistic effects of their own activities. Synergy is not given a priori but only may happen. Such a possibility should be interpreted in the category of pedagogical success. Supporting my reflection about the relations between animation and synergistic results I present an example of realised intercultural and music animation workshops. They based on a project that had won the competition “Culture Coalitions 2016”.
