Summary/Abstract: Willingly and notoriously used term “psycho-manipulation” has neither precise nor commonly accepted meaning. There are many alternative ways of its understanding. The paper offers a new definition of psycho-manipulation being a result of an analysis of the most popular and influential meanings of this term appearing in the psychological literature. Our approach bases on the notion of self-deception.
