Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the study of the social value of labor law as a civilizational achievement of society. The current ideology of reforming Ukraine’s labor legislation is criticized. The necessity of recognizing the priority of labor rights and interests of the worker is substantiated, because the right to work is a natural right, and the ability of a person to work ensures its livelihoods and contain the potential for development.
