Summary/Abstract: This article is about the history and the features of KV 622 Clarinet Concerto of W.A. Mozart who was a classical period composer. Its importance in the Clarinet Literature is also examined. As it is thought that this work will guide the clarinetists who will perform it, some form analyses are made to help them to interpret the work easily. The clarinet is a member of the wooden blowing instruments. A lot of works were written for the clarinet in the classical period. Although it was made of many compositions for the clarinet in the classical period, Mozart observed it expertly in terms of timbre and technique. He reflected these in his works, so he was an outstanding composer with rich harmonies and melodies. This developed further because of Mozart’s approach and interest in the instrument. Mozart wrote many types of works. However; his only concerto for clarinet, la major Clarinet Concerto has an importance in the clarinet repertory. Mozart had a significant place in the history of music. Despite his short life, he affected people with his reform that he made in the art of music. It is important for the young who will choose musicianship as a profession and for the people who are interested in music or who are just listening to know that under which conditions the composed works have come out. It is also certain that some knowledge about the composer of the works will make it easy to become integrated with the works.
