Suggestibility of sexually abused child

Summary/Abstract: Suggestibility is one of child – witness credibility’s essential determinant. Information given to child about his/her own experiences, can cause distortions of memory, and in consequence – of testimony. Assessment of testimony distortions by other people’s suggestions is a task given to court experts, among the others in sexual abuse cases. Article contains basic data about suggestibility of child – witness, strategies and diagnostic methods, useful in court expert work.
