IS PRODUCTIVITY PARADOX RELATED TO LOGISTICS? RESEARCH ON POLISH AGRI-FOOD INDUSTRY

Summary/Abstract: Paper presents research results of modern IT technologies and systems using impact for logistics activities in Polish food processing enterprises. Results indicate that a higher used IT solutions advancement level and, consequently, incurred expenditures on IT infrastructure do not directly translate to lower logistics costs. A clear relationships, according to which a higher IT solutions advancement level translates into a better company market position in the field of logistics and a higher level of knowledge about logistics solutions were found. Results confirmed productivity paradox existence in Polish agri-food processing companies identified earlier in relation to financial results.
