Summary/Abstract: The first reading in the liturgy of the Mass about the Blessed Virgin Mary (Heb 5:7–9) shows that Christ, as a credible and merciful High Priest, not only took on human nature, but was also able to effectively deal with human suffering and death. This was due to the sacrifice made by Christ, which was his plea and prayers to God. The submission and obedience of the Son of God made him heard and the Father received his cross offering. In this way, Christ became the author of eternal salvation for all who listen to him.
