Summary/Abstract: The present study, the third in the series, focuses on common phrases that are not etymologically of Bible origin but yet occur in the Bible translations. We compare the different revisions of Bible translation with focus on phrasemes that are widespread in many languages without conscious reference to the original context as well as those that occur in the Bible but are assumed to be common ones and appear in the Bible translation only as individual translator´s shifts in translating process.
