Summary/Abstract: If a company utilises the shared storage system, specific product is often placed in many (often very distant from each other) locations. The picker should select one of them (or several, if visiting one of them will not satisfy the demand). Locations can be selected by means of many criteria: distance from the I/O point, from other locations that need to be visited, degree of demand satisfaction, or the storage time. One or many criteria can be applied. Multicriteria decision analysis can be applied. The author applied the TMAL and TOPSIS methods. Both methods were compared with respect to the total route and order-picking time. It will be checked, how the weights attributed to particular criteria will influence the total route length and order-picking time.
