Summary/Abstract: This paper investigated the relationship between the profitability of foreign companies in Poland, FDI inflows and FDI positions based on the example of manufacturing industry. The data for analysis covered the period 2010–2015. Examined relationships were verified using cross-sectional analysis and linear regression. Our findings suggest that the FDI position determines FDI inflows. The relationship between profitability and FDI inflows was insignificant. The presented paper contributes to a better understanding of FDI inflow mechanism in Poland.
