TECHNICAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL PROTECTION OF ARCHIVAL MATERIAL IN THE STATE ARCHIVE OF THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents data on conditions in which archival material is preserved and protected in the State Archive of the Republic of Macedonia. It is indisputable that the care and protection of archive material is a priority and indispensable task for every society and every archive. From this aspect, one of the basic tasks of the archive is archive material that is located in archives in order to protect itself from destruction and damage, and within the limits of objective possibilities. The fact is that certain omissions and inconsistencies are prolonged for a long time. Obviously, it is easiest to write on paper the rules of the game, but often in practice these rules are not enforced. Archival material will be adequately protected if the employees and archives as competent institutions for the protection of archival material take all the necessary measures in accordance with the legal regulations.
