Summary/Abstract: NATO’s engagement in multinational operations has been constantly underlined by mutual dependence and synergy between military and non-military contributions to crisis resolution. Often, these non-military contributions are best addressed to the underlying causes of a conflict and help prevent a recurrence of instability. In view of such interdependent operating environment, communication and interaction are important for a comprehensive approach. Civil-military cooperation is a factor that facilitates this kind of comprehensive approach between NATO forces and civilian actors, who, together, undertake to resolve a crises.
