Summary/Abstract: Banking lending in a market economy serves as an important financial mechanism that supports the operation of a number of domains and areas of economic life. In order to understand the future prospects of the banking sector as a whole, a very current task is to analyze the underlying factors of the bank's actions as a subject of implementing a specific lending policy to customers. The analysis of the factors that influence the formation of banks' loan portfolios over the past decades is of great interest to researchers. A significant number of studies are devoted to the development of various models of factor analysis, which influence banking activity in general, modeling of financial processes, development of risk management systems and risk management issues in financial markets. Our research aimed at elaborating and optimizing the econometric model based on aggregated and statistical data collected and related to the banking sector, the allocation of factors from the perspective of their influence on the final result, as well as the interpretation of the obtained results.
