Determinants of transformation of family policy − some examples and suggestions for the direction of changes in the public support for families

Summary/Abstract: The presented text is devoted to selected factors that determine changes in the solutions to public support for families. The author focused on the factors connected to the definition of the basic concepts used in the family policy, factors related to the transformations of family functions and examples of expectations, attitudes and behaviors of potential beneficiaries of the family support that affect the nature of the activities of the state in this regard. Although the article relates primarily to a situation in Poland there are also presented some information about the situation in other EU countries. To accomplish this objective as a research method the analysis of literature was adopted.
