Summary/Abstract: The Bulgarian indefinite pronoun “edin” is object of many and different researches with reference to the noun category “determination” and her expressions. The main question applies to the statute of the form “edin”: is it an indefinite article with grammatical nature or is it a pronoun with lexical nature. The paper considers both points of view and their motivations. According to the author at this stage the metamorphosis of the pronoun is not totally concluded and we can not be sure that it has finally formed an indefinite article “edin”.
