Summary/Abstract: The univerbation is a general language tendency of structure economy. That is a pro-cess of forming a new single word from a fixed expression of several words. The univerbation is a formal process and a kind of semantic compression. The paper observes different opinions about the displays and results of univerbation in contemporary Bulgarian language.
