Summary/Abstract: The paper aims to provide a better understanding of the Chinese kinship system, using the data, presented in Encyclopedia of Ethnology, published in Shanghai in 1990. The terms are explained in Bulgarian via the terms of some Bulgarian dialects and via the terms of Standard Bulgarian wher it is possible. The terms are presented as follow: 1.1. Paternal side.
