Summary/Abstract: All that people have created and produced is „Culture“.1Thus humans are insolubly bound to culture. But are they also „cultivated“? The „cultivated“ man is a an established metaphor. Someone is cultivated – is something mostly referred to one’s behavior, one’s action, one’s looks. What does this have to do with education and formation? In social context well educated2 colloquially designates a refined, neat way of life oriented toward the moral concepts of a certain social group or layer. The concept indirectly implies a fine-tuning of certain desired ways of behavior. These usually apply to the external life circumstances, thus for example way of consumption, ways people act in certain situation, such as eating, certain manners, a „fine“ taste in the field of arts and music, as well as a specific form of dressing.
