Summary/Abstract: The current research is dedicated to an important source from the protoslavic literary production – Lestvitsa (Κλίμαξ) by the St. Yoan Sinaiski, which relates to the appearance, structure and organization of the Bulgarian monkhood and with the forming of the Bulgarian cultural identity during the second half of IX century, as well as with the manuscript tradition throughout the following centuries. The content as far as the language and style of wording are concerned / stage 5 is clarified via combination of literary, linguistically textual and hermeneutic analyze; its meta text presence in our original literary heritage is outlined. The protobulgarian translation is tracked via its protoslavic editing in both versions (Рум. 198 и РГБ-10). As a reference is used the second main editing– The Aton’s (Рил. 3/11) and its Tarnovo version / edition (Рил. 3/10 и РГБ-152). The adherence to the author’s logic and interpretative explanations in Lestvitsa (РГБ-37 и Lestvitsa 1647), the comparisons with other holy texts reconciliation with the Greek original (PG-88) and Russian translation (Лэствица 1908) guarantee limiting of the subjectivity and the interpretative adoption of the monastic reading.
