Summary/Abstract: This article discusses the question of the accomodation of the Cyril and Methodius students in Pliska in 886. At this stage, it is comparatively low in the scientific circles in Bulgaria, mainly due to the small number of direct archaeological findings and historical sources. The only historical source, which provides a fragmentary information of the accommodation of Clement, Naum and Angelarius in the Bulgarian capital, is the vast life of St. Clement of Theophilus of Ohrid. The article presents archaeological data about the buildings explored at this stage in the Outer and Inner City of Pliska. The analysis is mainly based on their functional proximity to the palace buildings as well as to the archaeological materials found in them. It can be assumed that the future studies in Pliska will contribute to the final clarification of this important fragment of the history of the Cyrillo-Methodian action in Bulgaria.
