Summary/Abstract: Reading is one of the sources of linguistic and socio-cultural information in the process of teaching a foreign language. Reading original literature in a foreign language introduces the culture of the country, promotes the development of communicative skills and analytical thinking. Student faces live language, enriches his vocabulary, improves the skills of spoken language. Home-reading is also aimed at training a habit of independent work in a foreign language studying.
