Summary/Abstract: The article presents some thoughts on legal language, originating from a practical example in the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road – ADR. The aim of the paper is to present a possible project of amendment to one of the dispositions of the agreement and, also, to propose to the legal comunity new scientific perspectives originating in the field of language sciences, but which could prove to be useful working tools for the lawyer.
