Summary/Abstract: The present paper describes the effect of selected dramatherapy techniques on addicted clients in a detoxication ward. The paper focuses on four specific techniques. The mask, the metaphor, the symbol, and the puppet. The authors of the paper investigated the patients’ feelings evoked by these techniques, what the patients were thinking, and whether they gained any deeper experiences. In the paper the authors reflect on the suitability of these techniques in the environment of a detoxication ward in Olomouc.
