Summary/Abstract: The military sociologists from Romania elaborated and bring into effect a project which is talking about the vote options and about the way the conscripts from The Romanian Armed Forces voted (before the institution’s reform), starting from the hypothesis that, generally, the military personnel is oriented, on an axe left - right, toward right, enounced on the background of similar studies realised in democratic countries with tradition and on studies elaborated in this respect. The project proved that, due to diverse causes – which this study underlines, the Romanian conscripts, during the periods mentioned in this project, and like those from Poland and Bulgaria, voted more with the left. The authors suggest that such study should be realised also during the present conditions, meaning on a sample composed from officers and non-commissioned officers and, of course, from professional military personnel. The study is relevant from many points of view, among which is located also the relation civilian – military personnel within the new context of the strategic environment of security.
