Summary/Abstract: The purpose of man is to get from what God sown in him to likeness with God, a process called sanctification or deification. This is accomplished through asceticism which reveals man’s free will to be like God, as well as God’s gift that is through the work of the grace of the Holy Spirit. In this process there are certain stages that man goes through according to his uniqueness.
