Summary/Abstract: Social movements have risen on the axis of demand for change and equality by exhibiting a stance against social injustice and movements have demanded for mainly equality, justice, participation to administration and managing their own beliefs and lives. In post-industrial society with new social movements autonomy, liberation, recognition and effective participation demand have gained importance. In this framework, new social movements take on the agenda the issues of identity, ethnicity, minority, environment, peace and energy that do not originate from the labor-capital contradiction, not to be satisfied the existing living conditions, focus on improving living conditions and quality and appear as a "demanding” movement by demanding for “much more things in every area related to life”. The definition of "demanding" has carried out for the purpose reaching a recognition that encompasses the social, political and cultural dimensions of movements. Indeed, this definition presents an important argument that in the social structures in which movements interact. Therefore, this study has been carried out in a theoretical plane and literature review, excluding examples the new social movements, since new social movements emerged in a country or a region within its own dynamics and conditions.
