Summary/Abstract: Analysis of Lithuanian and international documents suggests that continuous education is an essential educational component in ensuring professional qualifications that is necessary in the context of the rapidly developing modern technologies. Europe has entered the Knowledge society and pharmacy specialists have changed their operating space. Their professional role has shifted and patient education became one of the tasks for qualified pharmacy specialists. It could be achieved only through continuous professional development. There are few researches in Lithuania that reveal what factors could affect the implementation of the educator’s role among pharmacy specialists. In this study, the correlation between continuous education as a professional value of pharmacy specialists and the educators’ functions realization would be analyzed in particular – a case of mothers’ education.
